There is limited parking at the Noosa Cooroy Road lower gate.


Spectators will be catered for with grandstand seating and a shuttle bus to transport them up the track to allow them to more easily access all vantage points.

Feel free to wander around the Pits to talk with drivers, get some autographs and get up close to the cars.

Spectators enter via the lower end of Gyndier Drive only.

Food and coffee is available at the PIT area as well as further up the track.

Spectators are welcome to walk through the Pits to talk with drivers and have a close look at the race cars.

Race cars range from hill climb open-wheel specials to roadcars of all types and purpose built racecars.

This race weekend of the 9/10th July 2018 is not to be missed with a line up of well known drivers, including a number of Muscle Cars in action.

What is Hillclimbing?

Hillclimb is a speed event, where one car and driver runs over a defined uphill winding course, from a standing start, against the clock. In competition, cars are classified into categories so as to have cars of like potential performance competing against each other. However, the real contest is the individual one where each driver tries on each run to improve their individual time i.e., the hill and the clock v's the car and the driver. Competitors claim Hillclimb to be the best fun you can have sitting down with a seatbelt on!

2018  Winter Hill Climb

Noosa Hill Climb - Winter Challenge is held on Gyndier Drive Tewantin and consists of a track with 14 corners winding through National Park.

The event draws competitors from far and wide which guarantees to keep spectators entertained with the thrills and spills of close competition to be the fastest car to the top.

The Noosa Hill Climb is classed as one of the premier hill climb events in Australia. It has attracted such notables as Vern Schuppan, Kevin Bartlett, Dick & Steve Johnson and Glenn Seton just to name a few.

With such a broad range of makes and models competing such as the Skelta, XU1s, Minis, Fiats, GTs, Jags, Open Wheel Hill Climb Specials plus the Touring Car Masters cars. There is sure to be at least one car that will stir your passion.

So gather your friends and family and come and enjoy this great event.

Two hill climbs are run by Noosa Beach Classic Car Club at Gyndier Drive, Tewantin each year. The first on 9th, 10th June 2018

Drivers compete to be the fastest up the most challenging hill climb in Australia. Gyndier Drive provides14 corners running through the National Park with great spectator vantage points and grandstand seating at the most spectacular corners.

There will be a shuttle bus operating during the event to take spectators up and down the track to provide easy access to all vantage points, many with grandstand seating, catering will also be provided in the pit area as well as further up the hill.


More than 150 entries have been received for the event, which will take part on Gyndier Driver in Tewantin.

The event has drawn competitors from far and wide, guaranteeing to keep spectators entertained with the thrills and spills of close competition.

A broad range of makes and models will be competing, such as the Skelta, XU1’s, Mini’s, Fiats, GT’s, Jaguars, Open Wheel Hill Climb Specials plus the Touring Car Masters cars.

Street Parade and Meet & Greet


In addition to the hill climb, on Friday 8 June from 3.30pm - 4.30pm there will be a STREET PARADE in Hastings Street, and then the public will be able to have a closer look at some of the cars in the parking area next to the Noosa Surf Club. From here at 5.30pm there will be a MEET & GREET               at Land & Sea Brewery in Venture Drive, Noosaville.
