What is Hillclimbing?
Hillclimb is a speed event, where one car and driver runs over a defined uphill winding course, from a standing start, against the clock. In competition, cars are classified into categories so as to have cars of like potential performance competing against each other. However, the real contest is the individual one where each driver tries on each run to improve their individual time i.e., the hill and the clock v's the car and the driver. Competitors claim Hillclimb to be the best fun you can have sitting down with a seatbelt on!
Noosa Hill Climb - Winter Challenge is held on Gyndier Drive Tewantin and consists of a track with 14 corners winding through National Park.
The event draws competitors from all across Australia which guarantees to keep spectators entertained with the thrills and spills of close competition to be the fastest car to the top.
The Noosa Hill Climb is classed as one of the premierHillclimb events in Australia. It has attracted such notables as Vern Schuppan, Kevin Bartlett, Dick & Steve Johnson and Glenn Seton just to name a few.
With such a broad range of makes and models competing such as the Skelta, XU1s, Minis, Fiats, GTs, Jags, Open Wheel Hill Climb Specials plus the Touring Car Masters cars. There is sure to be at least one car that will stir your passion.
So gather your friends and family and come and enjoy this great event.

In addition to the Hillclimb, on Friday 7 June from 3.30pm - 4.30pm there will be a STREET PARADE in Hastings Street, and then the public will be able to have a closer look at some of the cars in the parking area next to the Noosa Surf Club.
